This past weekend, Sha’Carrie Richardson qualified for the 2021 Olympics.  A week before her qualifying race for the 2021 Summer Olympics, Richardson's biological mother died. As soon as she finished her race she ran to celebrate with her grandmother.

Richardson has said she is inspired by Florence Griffith Joyner with her long nails and her colorful hair on the field.

Richardson is also a member of the LGBTQ community so I’m especially happy to paint this during Pride.
