Inspired by the lyrics for America, the beautiful, this piece measures 10” x 10”

As a child, when I learned these lyrics, I was struck by the visual the words created.  I just remember picturing the images when we’d sing these words:.

“Oh beautiful, for spacious skies
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain”
